Screaming Hot hot hot!

95 degrees and humid and it feels like death. Clearly I could make adjustments like wearning a skirt or dress... but it is quite intimidating walking around with 9 billionkajillion stick thin models. Strutting some pretty sweat clinging jeans.. and some wedges ( Mom I am growing up!) BTW men reading this... Wedges are like heels. Anywho, went to the Black Eyed Peas concert with la famille francaise... was pretty sweet, pulled some good moves here and there... Fergie looked fit! And Will I am was pretty cool too... and the other two ( feel like this happens a lot... like when destinys child was still a group and everyone only knew Beyonces name..) were pretty cool too. Wasn't TOO impressed.. but just being at the concert with the family under NO WORKING kinda deal was A okay with moi! It was fun... even the dad took off time from work to join us... It was quite fun.  C just invited me with the kids to go to play thing with them soon at La comedie francaise to see a famous play ," Le Malade Imaginaire." I am excited.

Tomorrow night I am hoping to squeeze out of work early because my cuzzy cuz is coming to paris! I can't wait to see her... nothing more special then to be abroad with family. Muah :)

Last few days just been hangin out with the girlies... Brit #1 and #2 ( chlo and rachey) and Llama( ilana) ... went to a stunning Indian place... spent about a bajillion hours (3) just talking and stuff comme ca. I'm a Chicken Tikka Masala gal. Seriously. Addicting. The others enjoyed some curry.... fact: The Britts are way into Indian food and apparently have some of the best. I am a mental one at History/Geography/culture, but I didn't know that. I thought it was all about the fish and chips... but apparently they have some India India fever running up in there. I don't know why I am talking ghetto right now.... the heat is seriously getting to me.

It's monday which means Japanese food... AYyy Ayy! Yum yum. And I guess I really shouldn't be shocked that I am nervous to wear skin showing things.... with all this Indian food and Japansese... bahahah. C'est la vie.

A month minus one day and Cali Coucou, I am back. So excited to come home for a month... to see my fam... bre... tam... tay. I cant wait! Going to Aunties soon and I can't wait to see all my fam.. then going on a 5 dayish drive with Tam and Tay through L.A.. It will be grand.

Bisous,
Car

Au revoir is getting populaire!

Its thee time where a lot of my fellow au pair'ians are checking out and heading back home.... And it's time to say good bye. Luckily some of my closest friends here are staying longer, but tonight one of my closest is leaving and it's a bit sad. Good ole Austria... home of THEE Arnold Schwarzenegger.. is where Nor Nor will be heading. A bit of a rough patch with her family, so she has terminated ( sounds so intimidating) her contract and will be heading home a bit sooner. Anywho, no emotional talk, its sad sad... but you knows whats even sadder? The fact that some adults don't have their inner child anymore... I willl not name any names... but "this one adult" I played a prank on... and it was just jumping out of a box to do a little scare, you know because sometimes I don't always want to act so serious...... and she went ballistic... like all hell went lose. It was thee strangest thing... It was just a little joke .. and BAMM RAWRRRRRRRRRRR HISS HISS GRRRRR MEOW! Hmmm... you adults out there reading this... remember to have fun sometimes, don't get your panties in a wod, my gosh. Anywho, fun weekend ahead...  looks like the forcast is rain and a really annoying 'England' project to do with the little one... Do I sound too excited? Yay.  What else... hoping to make it out to England,Sweden and Italy before I return home..... but perhaps my 'rolling in the dough' budget will only support HALF of one of these. So... shall I go HALFWAY to England, Sweden  or Italy?Grr rough times. Btw I got a nice little 'cadeau' from my man manly "friend".. a little words and a hand carved whistle... not so bad eh? Could have used a trumpet, but a whistle will do nicely as well ;)

Peace, love and ALL that goodness ,
Car

Rodins Crib, Yo!

Je suis allee chez Rodin.(Le musee Rodin) C'etait magnifique avec les belle fleurs et les grand arbres... et bien sur Le Penseur. Ohh Laa la.

Just kidding, I'll switch to English.

Dearest English speakers,
I went to Rodins house ( Museum of Rodin) and it was magnificent with all the beautiful flowers and big trees and of course The Thinker. Yowza. I forgot to see some of the most famous pieces in there.... I only know this because my mother harped on me that I forgot to see HER favorite pieces... so I will be going back... for you momma! It was very beautiful though. I went with my friend Ali... and I love going places with Al... she's good fun but also great to have around when you just want a relaxing day... and that's what it was. We then went to Le Grand Palais and saw a piece by Aneth Kapor. It was very cool... to me it looked like a huge purple jumpy house that resembled a Hippos derrier! It was cool. I included photos below. We then went to the Museum of Perfume ( Musee de parfum)... already been before but it was nice. It is near the Opera which is one of my favorite areas... especially because they have a starbucks that looks very ancient and cool inside... and they have a Mango ( a store) ! Hah. Anywho.

HIPPO BUTT
Inside the piece of work

Picnicking at Buttes Chaumont
This is most of us(plus Alices mom and sister)... probably about 10 missing from the group... but I think we are the only reason that none of us go insane. Au pairing is no piece of cake.
Rodins Chateau

Nora and I tennis'ing
Nor( Austria) and I play tennis almost every other night... it doesn't get dark here until 10 p.m.... soo weird right? So we end up playing from 9-10 or so... its nice to end the night with this rather than work.
Lens birthday
We went out the other night for Lens birthday...at this really cool retro bar. The bar tender was incredibly grungily attractive... but it was like a movie... at one point he put water all over him like in flashdance... bizarre.
Ali
I can't believe I have already been here for 10ish months. Thats nuts.

Until next time,

Ps : Happy Late Easter.. what a wonderful day to celebrate at MCDONALDS.

Family and Friends, how I missed you on this special day.Really. It wasn't even bunnyfunny. Not only was I not surrounded by my family... but I wasn't even surrounded by my fake " family." They left obviously to spend it with family, I was dumb I guess to think I would have been included.... So I thought... where would be a special place to spend my easter? If you are thinking the church... well.. you are correct... but that is not where fate led me. Mcdonalds. With my two Australian friends that I call Grandma and Grandpa... because they are my favorite couple. Ali.. the Grandpa ( because she wears the pants in the relationship) is one of my good friends that is an au pair... Grandma, Alex, is a Aussie that is a teacher assistant in London but comes and visits his beloved Grandpappy sometimes. Anywho. Not a very spiritual place to dine on this special day... but must I just say and give this Mcdonalds a thumbs up for its amazing service on this day... seriously though... they brought our meals to our table... granted: there were only 3 other people in the whole place because I guess people know better than to spend a holiday at Mcdonalds. Anywho, C bought me a chocolate bunny ... which was nice .

Anywho.

Have I explained to you guys that people think I am a bébé here?
Everyone thinks:

-" Elle est ta grande soeur?"  No I am not her big sister.
-" Elle est ta fille?" - No I am not her daughter.
-" Elle a 16 ans et Allemande ?" No I am not 16 years old OR German.
-" Elle est ta cousine?" No I am not their cousin.
-" Deriere ta grande soeur." OH LA LA.

Also by the way- I have developed symptoms of a pregnant person. It is so annoying. Well. gaining weight.. I blame " the baby".. aka Chocolate... and ALSO I have all of a sudden developed this weird bang like short hairs on my head... did I always have them? I never noticed... but apparently pregnant women get them?

I can also tell when I came to france... because there is proof. MY ROOTS. Perhaps its because I officially experienced a real winter.

CHS people came to visit. It was a beautiful time spent. Not much to say... went to some famous monuments... relaxed in the gardens of Versailles... I was

I have two more months here... I can't believe it's almost been 10 months.. where has the time gone?It is incredible. So much has happened. The giants won the World Series. Bin Laden has been silenced. There was a scandal with the French IMF president in NY. The Royal Wedding... the only part I saw is when the ring almost got stuck on her finger. My sister graduated college. and now some of my friends back home are graduating high school.  A year ago I graduated High School. Excuse my french but WHAT THE HELL.  It is crazyness. Life goes so fast. The elderies always tell me this...I miss my elderies at Noahs... but they always tell me that... they are so right.

I'm on a boat...and my flippie-floppies"

The other night, 9 other chickies and I went on a party boat.... the thing was, girls got in free so we thought....Yayy-yuhhh( Little Jon)! I haven't been out all night the entire time I've been in paris... well because before I didn't want the family miss taking me for some party party chick.... and more truthfully.. being an au pair is SOOOO tiring!  Do you know how hard it is to be completely annoyed with some but because you are not actually related to them and you work for them, you can't really show your frustration?? Being around kids the whole time is soo hard, I respect all you mothers reading this right now! It's hard stuff.  But anyways. I finally went out into Paris with the ladies and we went on the boat. The drinks were so expensive.... TIP: never try a bubblegum shot- I almost gagged... TIP: Smirnoff bottles make great flutes... TIP: Europeans do not dance like Americans. But we had a beautiful time because we were 1) all away from children  2) fluting and dancing and 3) the boat route went around the eiffel tower and it was gorgeous.

I've come to notice I am not too shabby at french... with some drinks in me. Do you think my teacher would mind if I came to class a little tipsy... I mean, I would perform a lot better... but I guess at 9 in the morning she may think I have some crazy alchy problems. Ps: don't worry friends and fam that are reading this, I barely drink.... any for some crazy reason, one drink does me, so I am not spending loads of money like a crazy.

So anyways we left the boat around 11:50 am and went to some bar because the bar tenders happen to be seeing these two chicks in the group... so yet again, we got in free and cut a line. I found a target in that bar..... not the kind of target you think.... but this dude with some weird hat on... and I thought to myself ( and probably said outloud without realizing) ," By the end of this night, I will be dancing with that hat... showing my grooves on the dance floor." I succeeded too early in the night...because before I knew it I was grabbing the hat and crumping like a psycho with my friends... I didn't even ask the man for the hat, I just GRABBED it. Great. So... after my little 'fame' of a minute, I gave it back... Besides that, we all just danced and some girls found men... I remember  just walking up and taking the hand of this clearly homo-sexual man and doing some kind of old-fashioned dancing ( you know the kind with all the twirls) to some ghetto rap song- It was fun! I think it runs in the fam because mom tells me she loves to dance, and I concur!

After that bar closed we went to another. This one was super cool, it was a dance floor in this cave like surrounding- too fun! Danced the night away and then headed home... weird to be taking the train home when citizens of paris are heading to work .... I don't even want to know what I looked like... got home at 8 am right when I heard the fam waking up.... ran to my room, took a shower.... woke up at noon... and felt like a grandma because my whole body was sore.. but then again, I had just done some moves I didn't know I was capable of... Walked in the kitchen and C and E said , " Show us how you danced like night!!!" Bahahha, I said something like " You can't handle it."

Text received: Last night was crazy... hilarious.

Best night of youth I had had in a while!

Guess who is back from the dead???

If I didn't tell you... I accidentally washed him... and I thought he didn't survive the "flood"... but welcome him back, because he's a trooper!

Besides that- I am doing swell. I have a couple friends back home right now going through some rough times so I sorta wish I was home right now... plus I have been really lonely lately... but it's just a phase. I went to E's tennis match last night... just a girls night out... C'etait bon. It was good. Although a bit psychopants because her match didn't end till 11 pm... what kind of 10 year old kid can stay up that late playing sports... the game was almost 3 hours long!

The weather is getting better over here... and the family boguht me a bike... if I haven't mentioned before... the bike I have been sharing with the parents is a bit painful... if you get what I mean... they are a lot taller... soo... Painful and awkward...since I fall at least once every time I use it! eek.

So they bought me a bike. Go them. They are awesome.... and I am also having surgery here.... I'm pregnant. No no, just joshin yah, unless you call nail surgery giving birth in the states now...

So much I am throwing at you huh? Ipod re-birth, + a bike, X some fun toe surgery.

I have been playing so much tennis lately... Tell me I'm wrong, but I coudl totally take Serena Williams right now ;)

40 blog post and 40 earphones later...

Dear Mom,
Don't hate me... but those 7 pairs of earphones you sent me with have now passed away.. RIP... so I consequently  had to spend 30 dollars on nice earphones today.. the big ones, " headphones" are super fashionable here... but  I figured I would just go big with the earphones that are sweatproof... because I am convinced that I have destroyed the last ones by water...
Sincerely,
poppitydoohding

Alright, today wasn't a bad day.... except for the fact that our tennis session got interrupted... but I guess it was by people that were actually members of the club... I think I am going to join it though because they have cool dance classes and blah blah. Salsa... Aww, I miss Chevys ( Nor cali's, you know what I am talking about). Also I have to babysit tonight... sigh! Fortuantely it IS a night that has started to rain... so being in paris would have been annoying right now. I think I am trying to convinced myself that so I won't be annoyed.

But I did have a nice day with Al ( Au pair friend, Aussie)... we went to Sephora because I was in need of re-stocking... be proud of me actually, I am really bad when it comes to shopping!!! Al wanted to go fabric shopping so we went to Mont Martre and I found three things:a really cool purple zipper...( because Al has a knack for fashion designing and making), a weird duck thing I am going to iron onto one of my bed shirts, and yarn! I decided to take up knitting again... something to do at night besides watch TV... yes, it's an awkward time to start again since we are heading into summer... but it's more just to be a hobby. Then we were pretty tired.

Headed home... and now I am here and this bllog post is really boring but I am just writing while my Office episode loads....

If you are in the states and it's raining... please have a hot chocolate and enjoy a disney movie for me!

Much love,
Car
